Recitals and Concerts
The ministry of music is an extremely important part of our parish’s life and witness. In this, as in many regards, the church is a major focus in the local community. The layout of the church, its fine acoustics and the facilities of the adjacent Church Hall all make St. James's an excellent venue for musical events.
Many of the adult musicians in the church, supported on occasions by the older and more advanced youngsters, take part in informal evening recitals of a high standard.

The Brodowski Quartet
These occasions are supplemented by more formal professional recitals by guest musicians such as the Brodowski String Quartet. See some of the music played in a few of the recitals performed in the last few years on our Recitals and Concerts Music page.
We also host concerts by Concordia, local groups, local schools, community organisations and other music-makers, as well as by visiting musicians. These recitals and concerts help to raise funds for charitable and church purposes.
Concordia

A Young Musicians Recital is given each year and provides a significant form of outreach into the community, involving up to 70 enthusiastic children at each recital. There are now several established ensembles whose members really look forward to playing together and are full of enthusiasm and talent. It is also a lovely opportunity for soloists to perform. The young musicians are always very well supported by family and friends to create really enjoyable and exciting concerts.
