The Bible
is a book which contains many, in fact 66, separate
books. It is like a rich library of books, including
stories, songs, history, letters, poetry, prose and
more. It is split into two different sections, the Old
Testament (the time before the birth of Jesus Christ)
containing 39 books and the New Testament (the time
after the birth of Jesus Christ) containing 27 books.
The Bible is a sacred or holy book which forms the basis
of the Christian faith. For Christians, it is the main
reference for teaching, guidance and worship. It is
used by Christians both in church and at home.
The Bible is very old, it was written, by many different
people, over a time period of approximately 1,500 years!
However, it is still relevant for today.
