St. James’s is a
member of Churches Together around Hampton (CTAH) which is part of the
wider Churches Together in England, seeking to bring together different
Christian denominations. Eight churches belong to CTAH: two Roman Catholic,
three Anglican, one Baptist, one Methodist and one URC in
Hampton, Hanworth and Hampton Hill, each enjoying their own tradition,
but also seeking to work together. |
| In Hampton, Churches Together
holds regular meetings of the ministers of the eight member churches.
Forum meetings, with clergy and lay representatives from each church,
are held two to three times a year, and there is an AGM each October.
There are shared activities such as Christian Aid Week and the distribution
of hot cross buns to commuters in Holy Week. There is a rolling programme
of activities that attract varying levels of response and involvement.
There are several Services of shared worship throughout the year. |
