At the last meeting of the Parochial Church Council a “Social Committee” was formed to provide parochial social entertainment. They will be meeting shortly to consider a programme.

The success of any entertainment they may provide will depend upon the support given to it by all sections of the parish. I can promise a variety that will suit the taste of most people. Dances, concerts, whist-drives, bridge-drives and lectures will be included in the programme. I think that with such a committee the stigma of dulness should be removed from Hampton Hill.
