1920 - 1929: Sale of Work for Foreign Missions - 1921 October

The Hampton Hill Parish Magazine

" "
The Annual Sale of Work for Foreign Missions will take place on Wednesday, October 19th, in the Schools. This is nearly two months earlier than usual, but the Committee have thought it advisable to take advantage of the School holiday during the week beginning October 16th, and hold the Sale in the Schools.

The Church Room has long been found too small, and the Committee trust the change will be greatly for the better. Entertainments will be given in the afternoon and evening. in addition to the usual stall for plain and fancy needlework, there will be stalls for cakes, toys and plants, gifts for which will be very gratefully received by the Secretary, Miss Brewer. The “White Elephant Stall,” which was so successful last year, will again be in evidence. Will friends be so kind as to put aside for this stall articles in good condition for which they have no use, but which others may find very useful? Tea will be provided during the afternoon. We hope to have the generous support of the members of the congregation and other friends. The Sale will be opened at 3 o’clock.
