1900-1909: Mothers’ Union Service and Meeting - 1907 September

The Hampton Hill Parish Magazine

" "
The Annual Service and Meeting of the Mothers’ Union took place on Thursday, the I5th ult. The day was like most of the days this summer, it poured with rain, but a fair number braved the elements. Three new members were admitted.

Of course the tea in the garden was out of the question, so rapid arrangements had to be made for having it in the Eastbank Mission Room, where the mothers adjourned after the service. An excellent address was given by Mrs. Bothamley, and we all tried to make the best of the circumstances. I believe that many are finding out the real help and value of this Society, and it is bound to grow. Mrs. Harrison of “Clovelly,” has kindly undertaken to act as Assistant Secretary in the place of Mrs. Woolterton Reed, who has left the parish.
