Members of the 3rd Hampton Hill Scout Group join the Brownies, Guides and the St. James's congregation for the All Age Services that take place on the first Sunday of each month, carrying their flags in a colourful parade through the church. Sometimes they act as sidespersons, read lessons, say prayers, assist with Parish Breakfast and so on during the Services. They also lead the Remembrance Sunday Parade with their colour party carrying the Union flag.

The group is a successful and expanding Scout Group with an excellent team of leaders, young leaders, committee members and adult helpers. Membership of the Group has increased, doubling in size over five years, with links and a feed to the Hampton Explorer Unit. Most sections are now open to girls and comprises two Beaver colonies, two Cub packs and a Scout Troop. They meet in a large, warm, dry and well-lit headquarters behind the recreation ground in School Road Avenue, Hampton Hill.

The Beavers, for boys and girls aged 6 - 8, has a programme based around the motto 'Fun and Friends'. It is designed for the boys to enjoy themselves with games and activities and to help them learn new skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.

The Cubs, age range 8 to 10 and a half, is a mixed sex group. The programme enables them to learn new and valuable skills in readiness for their time in Scouts. The Cubs run a staged badge scheme allowing them to choose and try interesting activities towards their attainment.

The Scouts, aged between 10.5 and 14, is a mixed sex troop, running an interesting and exciting programme, again decided by the Scouts themselves. This includes a wide range of adventurous and fun outdoor activities. These all count towards a staged badge scheme, with the eventual possibility of achieving Queens Scout status.

There is a new district based section called Explorers that supersedes Ventures. Their linked Explorer unit, cunningly named 'Hampton Explorers', draws its members from the four Hampton based Scout groups as well as 3HH Guides and has an age range of 14 - 18 years.

Scout Network takes over from 18 for those who are retained as leaders, helpers or assistants.
