Being a Brownie is lots
of fun and a great way of making friends. They can get involved
in an enormous range of exciting activities and learn new skills such
as first aid.
What do Brownies do? They have fun! They can take part in indoor and outdoor activities. The meetings are action-packed and full of challenges, games and activities, often ones that they have suggested themselves. Everything a Brownie does is an adventure - it's a world of excitement, new interests and friends. Brownies belong to a Pack and work in small groups called Sixes. This gives them a group of ready-made friends to take care of them. It also makes them feel that they belong to something special.
Who can be a Brownie? Brownies are usually aged between seven and ten and a half, although some Brownies stay in the unit until they are a little bit older. Any girl over the age of seven can become a Brownie as long as she is able to understand, and wants to make, the Brownie Guide Promise.
I promise that I will do my best: To love my God, To serve the Queen and my country, To help other people and To keep the Brownie Guide Law. The Brownie Guide Law Brownie clothes |
